About Our Training

Supported by a 50-year history of helping people in crisis, Crisis Support Services (CSS) provides expert workplace training to many of Australia’s leading corporate, industry and community organisations.

CSS provides training to the community, government and corporate sectors in a range of areas including; working with difficult clients, telephone counselling skills, suicide risk assessment, understanding family violence, understanding and working with mental illness, and working with men.

Our specialised training is designed to build emotional intelligence and resilience throughout your organisation while equipping staff with the skills they need to manage complex issues that impact their health and wellbeing.

Based on adult learning principles, CSS’s training programs are designed to be highly interactive, focusing on skills development, and offering practical strategies that can be implemented in the workplace.

Workshops incorporate a mix of presentation of information, participant skill development through role plays, question and answer sessions and group discussion. Group numbers are limited to ensure that each individual has the greatest learning opportunity. Written material provides participants with a permanent resource for ongoing support.

All CSS trainers have extensive clinical experience, and qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field, in addition to a minimum of Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment.
